Welcome to Get OutSitka! We believe that living in a place as wild and beautiful as Sitka is a gift—one that’s best experienced with a dog by your side. Our trails are calling, and our mission is to help as many of Sitka's canines answer that call as possible.

My name is Mikey Parsly, and I'm the founder of Get OutSitka. My life revolves around two things: the mountains and my dogs. I realized the incredible joy and fulfillment my pack gets from exploring our island's wilderness, and I knew I had to share that experience with our community. This business was born from a simple desire to give Sitka's dogs the adventurous life they deserve.

The true heart and soul of this operation, however, is my own pack of four furry adventurers who inspire and field-test every route:

• Ophelia: My wise, steady leader. She’s the seasoned veteran who has taught me everything I know about navigating the trails with a pack.

• Ginger: The boundless engine. Her energy and enthusiasm for the climb are the inspiration behind our most challenging hikes.

• Quasar: Our happy-go-lucky explorer. He reminds us that every sniff, stream, and scenic view is something to be celebrated.

• Dionysus: The cheerful caboose. He ensures no one gets left behind and that every adventure is filled with joy.
